| Mission Statement
A charity set up by students, for students, to establish a sustainable long-term partnership between schools from different cultures, bringing the best of all the schools together. Our belief is a two-way exchange: aid for development in exchange for cultural education from the Ghanaian schools.
We focus on one thing: a sustainable partnership.

Our Story It all started in a Year 9 Geography lesson. A group of students were looking at a case study of Ghana. The study addressed the issues of poverty in Northern Ghana and the Millennium Development Goals. The goals were. all supposed to be reached by the year 2015. However, when the students looked into the situation in Bolgatanga it was obvious that the goals wouldn't be achieved by 2015, and the students decided that they should help to make a change. The students took an active interests in the Ghanaian lifestyle and culture, as some aspects of Ghanaian life stood out as being significantly different from the Western lifestyle. The students' interest in Ghana helped inspire them to start taking an active and vested interest in the area. geog.3 Author: Rosemarie Gallagher and Richard Parish Publisher: OXFORD
During the summer of 2010, John Knight, a teacher at B.S.B., went on a trip to Ghana and visited local schools. The visit involved the exchange of cultural knowledge, inspirational Ghanaian Stories and sports equipment. These inspirational stories seeded what was to soon become a life changing idea. The inspired visitors decided to start a charity organisation - The Best of Both. The belief of this organisation is a two-way exchange; aid for development from the Western world in exchange for cultural education from Ghana.
